Formula dates on in and out equipment.

    HI Everyone,

I am not sure how this works, but i'll give it a try here. So, I have a spreadsheet where I need to keep track of dates. My goal is to know when equipment comes in and when it gets delivered back to the customer BUT at the same to be easy on the eye wnen reviewing. i am interested in showing the dates of when it got shipped to the vendor and when it got back from the vendor.

How can i show on a pivot table the dates of the customer with the dates pertaining to the record?. i need the dates to show, but i want the dates to show the column header. not just a random date.

    thanks

You contradict yourself in your desription. So, I am not clear what needs to be subtracted from what. However, in general terms:

    =IF(K9="","Not back yet",K9-C9)

    will work.

that worked AWWWWWWWWESOME!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!. Question, how would you present this on a pivot table?. can a pivot table show the column subject?. let's say i want to show how long it took to return those unit, can i create a pivot table where the column subject can show?. i don't want it to show data without showing the data what it is.

thank you and how can i show my gratitude?.

See if the PT sheet shows the information that you would want on a pivot table.
    There are a few issues:
    1. #DIV/0! caused by no date in either columns C nor K (double click on C9 for an example)
    2. Extremely large numbers caused by no date in column C (double click on C22 for an example)
    3. Duplicate vendor names caused by vendor name having an extra/trailing space in some cells (double click on C26 for an example)
Let us know if you have any questions.
