I am trying to count the number of jobs within a specific job group. For instance, I have 3 people assigned to the Job Group "TRX". Two of them are assigned to the same job, within the group "TRX", so the resulting count should be 2, not 3. Please see the attached spreadsheet for a better explanation! Thank you!
Using your posted workbook...
A1:A4 contains this list
This regular (non-array) formula, copied down, returns the count of unique cells that begin with the Col_A prefix

I plugged the formula into the sample sheet and it only returns zeros. I am not sure how the formula works so I don't know how to make it count correctly.
