sum up the values according to given dates and machine no.

    HI,
i have a production tracking sheet. the desire result will come in sheet "total reading and total meter".

in sheet " production" column a is of date column. column b is loom no (machine no.) column. column H & W are reading column.

so my first question relates here. i want the total reading according to date ( total reading & total meter!b1:aa1) and according to loom no. (total reading & total meter!a3:a)

and same for semi finished. column a is for date column.
column b is for loom no. column and column e for meter column. i want to know total meter machine wise and monthly.

in short i want to know total production of any machine in the given month. the total of reading will come from sheet "production" and total of meters will come from sheet "semi finished".

hoping to get this as solved.

The result structure is not clear. Could you show the manually calculated results and replace file with it? I hope the sumifs function help you but data criteria must be clarified.

first of all, thanks for the reply. only you have replied to this. and i have attached a new file with results for machine no. 3 & 4.
i have inserted comments in b3 & c3. so that it can be clear that where formula have to approach. how ever some one had tried to apply the query formula in my google sheet of this same file.
but there may be some kind of confusion as the formula is showing result only for 11/1/2019. i am posting link here so that you can check.

For READING you can use two sumifs
For METER - there is problem in source data. Some dates as text and SUMIFS can't sum this rows. The another way (С5) I cant test by may self because different regional settings.

two sum if means two total column one for column h and another for column w and then another for meter total and this same for all month.
