Dear Forum,
I work around larger numbers such as 100 Crores which are as 123456789 , I want a Custom FOrmat where I can display these numbers as Ex: 100000000 = 10.00 i.e Number divided by power of 7 for Crs and Power of 5 for Lakhs.
I dont know how to create a Number format which can display it as Crores or Lakhs. I would also like to add the word "Rs" in the beginning if its possible as well as Crs and Lakhs in the end .

For lakhs
"Rs." #\.00, "lakhs"
For crores
"Rs." #\.0,, "crs"

THanks but it fails for this number 603486 which need to displayed as 0.60 instead it displays it as Rs. .1 Crs simply dividing the number 603486/10^7
Oops..Try this for crs.
"Rs." #0.00,, "crs"
Also, if you want the display in lakhs as 0.60 instead of .60 use
"Rs." #0\.00, "lakhs"
Can you please explain how does it work differently for 10^3, 10 ^5 and 10^7 , I need the answer for 2 decimal places
I'm not entirely sure, but its do with the number of 0, at the end, each of which equates to 10^3.
I can't seem to make it work for crs. with two decimal places if its more than 1 crore
