Hi,

Please need assistance on the count and countif functions.

In my data attached i want results in column A to be the Count of the Truck numbers (as 1) in column D when the Date Changes.

that is the truck numbers should be uniquely counted as 1 per each date.

Would you manually enter the results you expect to see in column A so that we can understand your goal. It's not entirely clear to me.

once the date change every unique truck number is counted as 1 in column A and duplicates as 0

WOuld you upload the workbook rather than a picture (which isn't there anyway). Pictures are raley much use and we always prefer the workbook

Just paste the formula where ever you need to calculate the count.
For both case with and without date

Would you just check what I think is a typo.

In A60 you show 0 although the truck number has changed since the truck in D6 has changed form D59

If that's the case and it is a typo and should be 1, then in A3 copied down

But looking back to your original where you say "the truck numbers should be uniquely counted as 1 per each date." that could be implied to mean that you are only counting 1 every time the date changes which would be inconsistent with the values you are currently showing in column A
