INDEX / MATCH - Add up multiple matched numbers

I was wondering if there is a way to have a MATCH return the total value of multiple rows?

Example;

In the attached example I am wanting to return the full value of each project e.g. A=79, however it current just returns the first value for project A.

Any help is appreciated

In E2 enter =SUMIF($A$2:$A$8,$D2,$B$2:$B$8) and pull down
