Can't make logic condition with this number format "12.00.40"

Hello friends ,

I have some trouble inserting inside an "IF"" formula numbers of this type: "12.00.40".

Every time I run the condition finds a fundamental problem.

I have 2 excel sheets. The first is the source and the second is under specific format.

The formula takes from the source sheet some numbers in a specific column and paste it to destination sheet column cell:

Read from first sheet column G and cell G11 and IF G11=40; then write this number "10.00.40" in the destination sheet column cell.
ELSE("put what you find in the source cell G11, which usually will be a number like 12.00.35"; ))

=IF(APO!G11=40;"12.00.40";"") ELSE APO!G11

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Thank you very much for your help!

Seems that the problem was the original Column format coming from database output file and it has to be converted at first as numbers, I think so.

Please don't close it yet. I will inform here my progress and the solution soon as I am sure that working fine !
