Find 2nd & 3rd Most Frequent Text

I am attempting to create a formula that returns the 1st, 2nd & 3rd most frequent codes - I have three separate columns (F, G & H) to return the values too...


I have a formula to return the 1st most frequent code but I am unsure of how to go about creating a formula to return the 2nd & 3rd most frequent codes based on the 'place' in column C.


I have attached a sample file for review...any help would be appreciated.

Hi needhelp,

Your problem can be done using a Pivot Table. It just looks a bit different than you give. See the attached. PT have top 10 filter that I've used on the count field. Time to learn more about pivots? No formulas needed!!!
