# Formula to work within 360

1. ## Formula to work within 360

Hi all,

I am working on bearings, so the numbers I am working with are within 360 degress.

In column Q of my worksheet I have a bearing between two sets of Eastings and Northings.

In column P I am looking to get the opposite number, if looking at a protractor for example. For the higher numbers simply taking 180 off works, but for the lower numbers the number in Column P becomes a negative.

So for example, in column Q i have 160 degrees, but in P it is showing as -20, but I want it to be 340 degrees.

Any ideas how to do this?

Many thanks,

Chris

Try this kind of formula:

Is that something you can work with?
