Formula for % Increase / Decrease in single cell.

Hi All,

I have a query regarding the appropriate formula for % increase + decrease.

For example,

In cell D2 I have a % increase of 5%, and in E2 I have a % decrease of 2.5%

In Q2 I have a formula looking at D2 and multiplying the original number in Q2 by D2 to increase the number by the percentage.

However as the formula I have is =Q2*(1+D2) I cannot drag this across to E2 as E2 would require the "+" to change to a "-".

However I am looking for a formula that I can change D2 from a negative to a positive and the formula be able to identify if it should increase or decrease my number in Q2.

Any thoughts?
