Formula to return value based on date range table

    Hello all,

I am wondering if there is a formula that would return certain values based on what date is in each row... I have a separate tab that is a master list of date ranges and what weeks they should be classified as that I have attached.

I was wondering if there was a formula (other than a massive IFS, that I could use to reference to find what week a certain date would lie in? Thanks!

I presume this is what you are looking for:

    Excel 2016 (Windows) 32 bit
    D
    E
    2
    16/05/2020
    Week 9
    Sheet: Sheet1

    Excel 2016 (Windows) 32 bit
    E
    2
    =INDEX($C$2:$C$43,MATCH(D2,$A$2:$A$43,1))
    Sheet: Sheet1

Re: Formula to return value based on date range table

    Hi Ali,

This is exactly what I'm looking for! The only problem is that I have to look this up from one sheet with all of my data, to the sheet with the data that contains what week certain dates are. Thanks!

Re: Formula to return value based on date range table

That's fine - just change the formula to look at the other sheet. I presume you know how to do this?
