Smile VLOOKUP - let the table array be a tablename written in another cell. Is it possible?

    Hi guys,

As the title says I want to use the Vlookup function. I can make it work by typing =VLOOKUP(D20,Lassekaas,3,FALSE), where Lassekaas is a named area, D20 is a cell with a text matching a row in Lassekaas and 3 is a column in Lassekaas.
I want to be able to change the named area by changing the text in a cell and then refer to that cell in the formula instead of writing the name of the area.
Ive tried to use =VLOOKUP(D20,Indirect("D24"),3,FALSE) where D24 says Lassekaas as a text, but it does not work for me.

The idea is to be able to change the text in a cell and then find a lot of data in different tables (named areas) based on the text in the cell.

Hope its not too confusing and you can tell what try to say

Do any of you know a way to do this, or another way of doing what i try to?
    Thanks in advance,

    Lasse

Try using D24 without the quotes. i.e. INDIRECT(D24)
