Rows Hidden only if I change the target cell value twice

I have an issue with the below formula not updating when the drop down list in "M3" is changed to the "P2" or "P3" option. What I want it to do is hide rows 9:10 when either the value "P2" or "P3" is selected. Currently it won't change unless I select one of the options twice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however you need to include code tags around your code.

Please take a moment to add the tags. Posting code between tags makes your code much easier to read and copy for testing, and it also maintains VBA formatting.

Please see Forum Rule #2 about code tags and adjust accordingly. Click on Edit to open your post, then highlight your code and click the # icon at the top of your post window. More information about these and other tags can be found here

I did it for you this time. Please read forum rules. Thanks

    Thanks Kaper,

It hasn't worked, but you mentioned "maybe more than M3 is selected. M3 is part of a merged cell group (M3:O3). would this be a cause? I have tried using Range("M3:O3") to no avail.
