    Question Need help on Excel Conditional Formatting between Sheets

    Dear friends;

    Have a great day ahead!

    I have entered the values and changed the background color in cells starting from A1 to J100 in Sheet 1. Whereas, I need the same background color when I type the same value in the concerned cell in Sheet 2. If I type the mismatching value between the concerned cells, the background color format should not be applied.


    Example: Sheet1!A1 value is 1 with yellow backgound and I manually typed Sheet2!A1 value is 1 and the yellow background is automatically apper in Sheet2!A1. Likewise I need for all cells.

    If I manually typed Sheet2!A1 value is 2 then the yellow background should not be appeared in Sheet2!A1. Likewise I need for all cells.


    Please share with me if you have a good method.

    The sample book is attached herewith for your consideration.

    Dear Leah;
    Thanks for your input and it is working well in column A but it is not working another column and I knew your codes are referred only column A. Is it required to define the name and do the conditional formatting in each column?

    and applied your conditional formatting formulas in another sheet where I need the formats.

    It working well.
