    Conditional Formatting and If formulas

    Hi All,

    I need some help please..

    ***I am trying to use a criteria to return a text value and condition format the cell with the required colour based on the Text.

    *** Cell C9 is where I have tried the formula and the lookup cell is B9

    GREEN = "On track" >=1.0
    YELLOW = "Behind schedule or budget" >0.85
    RED = "Needs immediate attention" >0.65

    Re: Conditional Formatting and If formulas

    Its not clear what you are asking
    you could set up 3 conditional formats

    Home conditional formating, new rule, format only cells that contain

    cell value equal to On Track then format green

    repeat for your other 2 conditions

    Re: Conditional Formatting and If formulas

    Hi nesha,
    I didnt understand why does your furmula in column F contains ABS ? you are turning the negative values into positive and that's what makes your results wrong.

    I amended only the formula on column F. I ddint understand your comment on D30 & F30

    If the results are what you are expecting ten no further amendments are needed, but if it is still not what it is supposed to turn out - then please explain further as for what you are trying to show.
