I am trying to change the color of a linked cell. I know how to change the color if it is simply a linked cell, however, my problem comes when there is additional values added. For example, i want to link a cell so that it displays {a}, 2000. However, i want the {a} to be red and the 2000 to be green. I think i remember doing this in the past, but i cannot remember how i did so. Can someone help me out? Thanks!
Using conditional formatting, you can change the color of the entire cell via formula and such. You cannot do partial formatting of a cell that is being controlled by formulas or conditional formatting.
The only way to do partial coloring is then there is nothing in the cell but flat text and the partial coloring is applied by hand or by specially coded VBA.
