Highlight the range in column A
    • Click Conditional Format
    • Highlight Cell Rules
    • Text That Contains
    • Add the letters and choose the color

    Dear Sir,

There is no relation in in between item code column & description column.

i need to highlight column a separately irrespective of column b

Could you please share with me considering above?

Re: Conditional formatting or VBA CODES or formulas

    yes.

cells in column b should be highlighted with reference to column f
similarly cells in column a should be highlighted with reference to column e

Can we get an idea the cells which are highlighted in column a or b are from which cells of column (attached example)

Also please confirm whether we are using conditional formatting only or any other formulas ?
