Sumifs formula to handle vertical and horizontal lines

Hi All,

I'm having some trouble getting this data to pull correctly.

Basically, I'm looking to use the sumifs formula to pull the total costs for the month of February by job code. My dilemma is that I'm looking at both horizontal (job codes) and vertical data (months and costs).

I'm not sure if I need to shorten the job code from 2100.02 - ABC to 2100.02 or if I can leave the full job code in there to get it to pull correctly.

See attached for the example with the Summary tab as the end goal highlighted in red, and the data tab as the data source.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much, that's what I was looking for, didn't know you could add index match to the sumif formula.
