    Formula Understanding on Days Left

    Hi,

Anyone could help to educate on the formula =IF(L481="","",(L481-K481))?

What is the different with L481-K481?

What I need is only balance days left.

    Thanks,
    Gary

Re: Formula Understanding on Days Left

    Thank you.

    =IF(L481="","",(L481-K481))

    Basically, I have

    Cell L481 is submission date
    Call K481 is log date
The sub-sequence cell is to capture in days.

What I don't understand is it can be done simple by using Cell L481-K481 but I could not understand why they have this IF formula.

    Hope this clarifies.

    Thanks.

Re: Formula Understanding on Days Left

Well, did you try it without the IF statement? If you did, you would know why.

The IF statement says that if L481 is blank, then the formula will return blank. If it isn't blank, the formula performs the subtraction.
