    index and match

    Hi all,
I have 2 columns that have user id's and unique PW. I am trying to filter out all the columns that have met a criteria. So, I'd like to find all the emails that have the unique id's are identical. Maybe get it down to a hundred or so in my file.

attached is an example screen shot. So, all the hotel619 and mutley314 emails.

I've tried several times using the formula for index. But the error "not enough criteria".

    Thanks for any help

    Re: index and match

Based upon your example, what should your result look like. I am a bit confused -- are you looking for unique emails? So hotel619 would have two unique emails?

    Re: index and match

    So, the result should be:
    hotel619 [email protected]

Basically all the records that have that combo of values.

    Thanks,

    Re: index and match

If you are looking for unique, what about hotel619 [email protected] Why is that excluded? Need to fully understand your logic model.

    Re: index and match

    Well,
the criteria is hotel619 AND [email protected]. lumbermom140 isn't a part of the criteria.

    Thx

    Re: index and match

So the only criteria for your entire list is hotel619 and [email protected]? I am still confused by your request. Perhaps you need to explain your project in more detail. I am getting the feeling that this is not the only issue.

    Re: index and match

It's just 2 columns and the selection set is the 2 values.

    I appreciate the help Alan.

    Re: index and match

If I am understanding your request to filter out all identified criteria then this VBA should work for you. If this is not what you are looking for, then post back with a more detailed explanation of what you would do if you were to do this manually.
