    8 point rating system

    Dear Team,

I have a score board system, on a 8 point basis, but when I give it to the jury, the evaluation form would be on 5 point rating scale.
Even I give, 5 point rating scale, how would that be calculated on 8 score.

In all I have 13 question, divided in 3 section
    1st Section - 6 question - 4 point
    2nd Section - 4 question - 2 point
    3rd Section - 4 question - 2 point

    Can someone help me.

HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK:

Fast answers need clear examples. Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. Just before posting, scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

    Re: 8 point rating system

Hi Pranavesh and welcome to the forum,

You need a common denominator to get both the 8 and 5 system to correclty divide. You need to get to a 40 point scale and then you can do your problem. You have 14 questions which then also implies you need a basis of 7 in your computation. With the 7 as an added factor that takes your 40 point system to a 280 point system. Therefore make each question equal to 40 points and you will be able to reduce your answer to 8 or 5 systems.

    Hope this helps
