    _xlfn.single

I have 2 computors both running the same version 2005 (build 12827.20336) Click to run) of Excel. If I open the older computor , my spreadsheet is fine. The new computor, with latest version of 365 Family, shows the above _xlfn.single and in the box on the spreadsheet itself shows #NAME?. I have tried multiple ways of "repairing" to no avail. I have had no problems for the last 2 years, but this new computor DELL XPS just wont accept the spreadsheet. Anyone help please ?

Check unter File, Account whether the data there, subscriptions are correct and up to date.

The error suggests the opposite to your description in that new formula being used in older version of excel.

The formulas have not changed for the last 12 months. I have had 2 previous computors that worked fine. My new computor (purchased 3 days ago, is the one causing the problem.)

    Re: _xlfn.single

    Hi,

I have seen a similar _xlfn problem. Some formulas created in older versions of Excel do not translate to newer Excel Version. That's where the _xlfn.something comes from. Try doing a manual universal find/replace of your formulas to replace _xlfn.SINGLE with nothing.
