Formula to return unique values based on 4 criteria

    Hello everybody,

I have the following formula which usually works, but for this task does not. The extra add on is Data'!$AA:$AA;"*Dahl*" (I believe this is the reason it's not working)

    Formula: copy to clipboard

Any tip how to make this work?
    Thanks and best
    Thomas

    About your searching,
    SEARCH('Visit Data'!$V:$V;"Kim")
    Try to change to
    SEARCH("Kim",$V:$V)
Similar to the other search formulas.

    Hi bebo,
do you want to change only this or everywhere in the formula?

That is one example. Try to change for other searching , "visit", "distributor",...to see if it works.

If you have access to FILTER and UNIQUE functions, via your O365 subscription, then use those, i.e.

    Formula: copy to clipboard

either way, try to avoid using entire column references by limiting the precedent range by using either:

    a) (non-volatile) Dynamic Named Ranges, or
    b) Tables

for benefit of all, this was x-posted and resolved at Mr E (whilst this site was having 'issues')
