comparing two lists

Hi newbie here

Im trying to something simple im sure but finding it very frustrating

Please see attached image, trying to compare two lists and build a table similar to the one show (just filled in values).
Is there any way to automate this with functions in the table?

Which latest version do you have? Please be specific - there are several.

You will need to look at COUNTIFS here. If you need further help, then there are instructions up top telling you how to attach your workbook.

Hi,
say that your data is in column B and C

use this across:
=COUNTIFS($B2:$B5,$F2,$C2:$C5,G$1)
