    vlookup and match two values

    Hello
I have two sheets of data, essentially the same data taken from two different places. It contains information about employees, but one sheet might contain more or less rows than the other. I know that the employee ID is a unique identifier so I want to use that on sheet 1 to look up the row for the same ID in the second sheet. Then I want to compare the same column (say, their town) on the two sheets for that row & return true or false if it's a match. Is that possible to do? Thank you in advance for any input!

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

Ok, second attempt! I think I've attached the sample. I want to create additional columns on the source tab which looks up the corresponding row on the target based on the ID and then compare each column in the row. Thank you!

It may help someone to better understand what you want if you could manually include a few of the results you expect the formula/code to produce.
