Expenses formula (drop-downs and IF-formulas) / Noobie

Hi everyone,

I have the calculator sheet where I have five drop-down boxes from "Data Sheet". Idea is to have the overall price for the customer of the service. So on the data sheet first of all we have:

1) Fixed cost, i.e. 1000€
2) Variable Cost 1: "John" and next block the price of John, i.e. "1000EUR"
3) VC2: "Sauna" - yes -no question, IF; yes; then "800EUR"
4) VC3: "Food" - With or w/o BF
5) VC4: "Lecturer" - Multiple options, a list in Column and next column the price of the particular lecturer
6) Multiplier: How many participants i.e. from 5 to 15 as minimum and maximum.

So Function: FX + Multiplier(VC1, VC2, etc) = Overall cost

Thanks in advance!
Pentti

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook. The workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

To attach a file to your post,
click advanced (next to quick post),
scroll down until you see "manage file",
click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Why are you trying to overcomplicate this? Just add a values column to the quotation sheet and perform SUMIFs.

Something like this:

Excel 2016 (Windows) 32 bit
B
C
D
2
Firebody laskulaattori v.1.0
Valitse
Cost
3
Osallistujien määrä
5
5000
4
Vetäjä Stenius
1200
5
Sauna Ei
0
6
Ruoka Aamupalalla
50
7
Luennon vetäjä
0
8
Kokopaketin hinta (ALV 0) €
6250
Sheet: Laskuri

=IFERROR(Data!B5*[@Valitse],SUMIF(Data!$C$5:$I$15,[@Valitse],Data!$D$5:$J$15))
