How to sort a column to read off of 2 other columns

If I have column H needing to read off of column D but I need the word in column C to fill in column H what would be a formula for that? Below I did my best to show a sample, Keep in mind it can go off of COLOR or WORD or both on column D. Each one of the 7 words has its own color filled cell, so repeated words will have same colored cells. Thank you.

    C D H
    1 Sand 1
    2 Metal 2
    3 Dirt 3
    4 Rock 4
    5 Fire 5
    6 Water 6
    7 Oil 7
    8 Sand 8
    9 Metal 9
    10 Dirt 10

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
