    Xlookup boolean fail

    Hi
Can you please help - I'm mocked up an example of my problem. It obviously doesn't exactly duplicate but hope a fix here might help my live problem. I want to look up two criteria of Code and Level and then return the right Start and End dates. It doesn't seem to be working.

    Re: Xlookup boolean fail

In C2 copied down & across
    =XLOOKUP($A2&"|"&$B2,Lookup!$A$2:$A$13&"|"&Lookup!$B$2:$B$13,Lookup!C$2:C$13,"",0)

    Re: Xlookup boolean fail

You could also use the filter function.
    In C2 copied down only
    =FILTER(Lookup!$C$2:$D$13,(Lookup!$A$2:$A$13=A2)*(Lookup!$B$2:$B$13=B2),"")

    Re: Xlookup boolean fail

Ah, rookie error - the lookup argument has to start with just the one cell not the entire column! Many thanks to you both
