Formulating 1/1/2021-1/2/2021, 1/3/2021-1/9/2021 etc through one row.

I am new to this forum and I have searched low and high through here and google searches. I can not for the life of me figure out how to create/use a formula to where I can, on one row do weeks (1-52/3 weeks but dated). I.E. E/F 5, G/H5 merged cells and so forth. Example of dates would be: In row e/h5 1/1/2021-1/2/2021, 1/3/2021-1/9/2021, 1/10/2021-1/16/2021, .... to 12/26/2021-12/31/2021. I am using these rows to show a weeks worth of income/expenses in one column. I have tried to do 2-3 continuous cells and trying to fill beyond but it skips to 2022 then 2023 and so forth. I hope that my explanation is sound enough, if not poke and prod my blank, caffeine deprived brain.

    Welcome to the Forum jbposey86!

First, we discourage merged cells. No wait--merged cells often cause problems. No wait--merged cells are terrible.

Instead of using two merged cells and using some contrived formula to show two dates, just put one date per cell. Then the formulas are trivial, and you can actually do calculations on the dates if you need to. I cannot see any reason that you need merged cells here, but please provide more information if you do.

If you are using the DATE function with hard-coded numbers DATE(2021,1,1) you might as well just type in the actual date.

I would recommend putting Start dates on row 1 and end dates on row 2, but you can also do side-by-side. See attachment for both ways.

I totally agree with 6's comments regarding merged cells - avoid at all costs!!
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
