    Rounding up error.

In the attached sheet the contents of a bottle etc are divided thus price/quantity = price per unit. Then price per unit is x amount used = cost
However because it calculates on the actual number and not the rounded up number the displayed answer is wrong (or at least looks wrong to someone
who doesn't appreciate how excel is calculating)

Is there a way to force the calculation to use the rounded up number as opposed to the number to more decimal places.
or to display £0.006 differently? (it currently shows 0.01)?

Or am I over thinking it and it's fine?

    Hi

Nothing wrong with calcs, it shows 0.01 due to being formatted in Number to 2 decimal points if you want to show 0.0060 change to 4 decimal points.

Your 0.60 in yellow is cost for 100ml !

The yellow cell doesn’t change - it dies not contain a formula. There is no 100 anywhere to change to a 50. Please clarify, as what you are saying does not match the workbook provided.

Thanks Ali, I was seeing something that wasn't there. It just didn't look right multiplying 0.01 *50 and getting 0.30
