sum cells with values and cells without values

Hi Everyone,

I would like to know how can I make a sum with several cells , some with values and some without values.

In the sheet attchament what I would like is to write a formula to give in "J12" the value of 7.

just change what you had to this... =SUM(J8,L8,P8,T8,X8)

you also had a space in one of the empty cells which was causing the value error with your formula, if you delete that space (I think it was under H (cell X8)) your formula would also work.
