Hi all,
I work for a fire sprinkler company and I'm working on a take-off sheet calculating the cost and amount of bracket components required, depending on the quantity required and the pipe size chosen (ranges from 25mm-300mm). Each bracket type has its own tab and is broken down by each component - E.g. a clip, a nut, a bolt, an all thread rod and a filbow... bear with me, I'm relatively new to the construction industry and explaining is a little tricky.
In 'Section 6: Component Breakdown' of the attached example workbook, I need each component in the quantity column to look at row 45 (no. of brackets) and find which cell is not blank, then multiply that figure by the quantity specified in 'Section 3: Bracket Requirements' quantity column. A filbow comes in a variety of sizes, which correspond with the pipe size chosen so this will always been variable but must be listed within the sheet.
I've been working on the bracket project for a few months now and finally at the stage where I can build the spreadsheet so i'm not sure if i'm overthinking how to do the above because it's pretty much all I've been working on. I've done some googling and found a formula to find not blank cells, so I can know which filbow size is required, but then struggle to understand how I can multiply the Section 3 quantity by the not blank cell for the remaining components.
Any advice or suggestions very welcome!
