    Index match array (possibly)

    Hello,

I'm trying to set up a table, I haven't progressed very far yet, so I'm just looking for one formula at this point, preferably an ARRAY formula in COLUMN D. It may be INDEX MATCH, but I'm not sure. The table would be constantly changing by me adding new rows, they will be in order A-Z though.

    Columns:

A= Date B= Name C=Points D=SUBTRACT the first points associated with a name from their latest points. So in my attached example Peter would be

671951-633278. If a name has only one entry then I would like it to read "0". A name may be listed up to 12 times.

    Thanks for your help

    Nigel

I used advanced filter to list unique names in column E, then I use this array formula in D2:
