    Question Pilot Logbook totaling

    Good afternoon

I'm attempting to transfer all my pilot hours into a spreadsheet to simplify job applications where I have to provide hours flown in x timeframe, usually 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, etc.

I have two sheets, one being "Flight Logbook" and the second being "Totals".

Within Flight Logbook I have multiple columns - dates (column B starting Row 8), single engine hours flown (labeled SEL, column H starting Row 8), multi engine hours flown (MEL), etc.

On my Totals sheet I have different rows defining different criteria I'm trying to narrow down. For example on one row I want to calculate "single engine hours flown within" the last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, etc. These can be hardcoded into the formula as employers don't stray from these types of time frames:

However all I keep getting in return is "0". Where might I be going wrong? It might be worth noting that some rows might have a blank cell - you can't fly a single engine plane and a multi engine plane at the same time

I have attached a screen shot of the Flight Logbook sheet.

    Any help appreciated!

Fast answers need clear examples. Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. Just before posting, scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

I believe the reason you are getting zero for the 7 and 30 day totals is because there are no hours listed for single engine during the past 7 or 30 days. Change one of the cells from B17 to B21 to a date within the last 7 days and you should see results on your Totals sheet. Hope that helps you.

    Hi Flyboy65

Yes I just realized my example file had dates in it from back in April. This wasn't the case in my original file, but I figured out my formula error. This formula worked:
