Adding Characters into Cell String with Formula for Concatenation

    Hi All

Probably a stupid question and very simple (not to me obviously) but I am trying to create a sample data file for some testing and wanted to be able to add characters to a cell that already contains a string of text without using the CTRL+H function so new entries are automatically updated to the made up email address as I drag the formula down

    Here is an example

    Name Email Address
Tristian Young Tristian_Young + concatenation of made up email address ([email protected] as the concatenated result)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Dbee

It's unclear what your original data would look like and what exactly you would be concatenating. Would it be a consistent suffix (such as "@gmail.com")? Would the original data be in a form where it would immediately be available to be concatenated?
I.e. in your example, is the original data "Tristian Young" or "Tristian_Young"
Assuming the answer to the first question is Yes (a consistent suffix) and second question is "No" (need to modify with underscores) the
    Formula: copy to clipboard

Does that work for you? If not, perhaps uploading an example workbook with multiple examples showing the complexity of your data.
