Staff Absence Tracker - showing number of days and number of occasions

Hi all

This is my first post, I have gone through lots of previous posts trying to find a solution

I need to create a staff absence tracker that shows the total number of days a staff member has off in a single occasion, the total days off in a rolling 6 and 12 month period, and how many occasions there have been in a 6 and 12 month period. I have absence trigger points that I need to monitor and flag up if the staff member reaches one of the trigger points.
I have 20 staff to monitor so not a huge job but something that automatically calculates the above without me having to look it up and work it out each time an absence comes in. Ideally I would just like to put the staff member's name (or I can have a separate s/s for each staff member) and the first and last date of absence.
