    Count with wildcard....

    Hi guys,

    My sheet has lots of data with similar products with slightly different names ie. colours. but same products

    I am trying to determine how to do a sumif in column d, to count the number of products (names in column A and B) and sum the unique numbers only which are in column c. Note because the products have different colours, I want a wildcard so that excel does not sum all the products with similar names...

    hoep this makes sense!

    Pivot can do the job if I understand you correct....

    I don't see similar products in column A, just a few in column B.
    So you can make a pivot with a leading column B
