    IF AND functions return errors

I want to next multiple IF AND statements into a shingle cell. As far as I know, I am following specific examples I have found elsewhere, so I am expecting them to work. I have tried every combination of spacing, parenthesis, etc, with no luck.

    For example, I want:
    cell 'MasterData!'$H$38 to return if $B$4=”BMO” & $B$18=”Complete”
    OR
    cell 'MasterData'!$H$20 to return if $B$4=”BMO” & $B$18=”Basic”

After these conditions work, I will need to add more.

Result: Formula is missing an opening or closing parenthesis

Result: I get “Update Values Master Data”dialog, which wants me to open another document.

Result: I get the “=” sign error

    Thank you!

Re: IF AND functions return errors

    Hi there,

The formula worked for me when I added the closing parenthesis and changed the style of the these "slanted" double quotes to the style of these "straight" ones.

The system won't allow me to upload the "slanted" quotes which you use in your formula.

I'm assuming that you DO have a worksheet with the name "MasterData".

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Greg M

Ah, sometimes I edit in Word and then copy into Excel. I will try and see what happens! Thank you so much Greg!
