GETPIVOTDATA #REF Error linking to FieldName to Cell

I have 5 value fields in a Pivot Table along with a Date Column (30 days worth) and a "Hotel" Row field.

One of the value fields is called "Occupied" I can pull a value if that field is typed in the formula. But when I try to change that and link it to a cell value that says "Occupied", it fails with a #REF error, and I can't quite figure out why. I was able to place the date in cell F4 without an issue.

Any idea on how to correct the formula?

EDIT. Not sure if its the preferred or best way, but if use TEXT inside the GetPivotData formula, it works. So this below works:

Good that you found a work-around. It's impossible for others to know why D4 alone doesn't work without seeing what's actually in D4. If ISTEXT(D4) and EXACT(D4,"Occupied") both return TRUE, then I have to suspect recalculation lag.
