how to use index formula to lookup from bottom to top?

Respected all,

I love to use index and match formula for any lookup task, but for now, I have to lookup the last value from the column. Means, in the multiple same data in the array I would like to pick up the last data because it's the latest update in my file. as index and vlookup usually carry the first data that came across but I want the last one.

Try to follow this format:

=LOOKUP(2,1/(Lookup_range=Lookup_value),Result_Range)

with both has same dimension and a single range with same direction.

INDEX and MATCH is for 1st value seaching. Why not LOOKUP ?
