    Price Comparison Formula

    Hi guys,

I have an excel sheet that comprises a list of 20 products. I have obtained prices of each of those 20 products from 8 different suppliers.

Now the deal is that whichever supplier I chose out of the 8, I will have to give them the order of ALL the 20 products as a package. But unfortunately, I don't know the quantity of the products required.

So I'm looking to create a formula that weighs the products when I have the quantities available. Like I want the excel sheet to weigh the product by importance because one supplier might have one product that is cheaper but there is another supplier who will be cheaper in total. I want to create a combination which tells me which supplier will cost me the least for a package of all 20 products.

Once you know the QTY, it should be a simple matter of applying the QTY to each vender, adding the totals for each vendor, then comparing those totals to see which has the lower overall cost.

Thats my point. You could set this up that, as soon a you enter the QTY, each version would be calc'd, You would then just need to compare the total values
