Extract Curr. from an amount formatted

I have a list of amounts that formatted with currencies, I need to get the currency name out of the number. Is it possible?

You cannot use the GET.CELL macro as a normal function. It has to be given a name

The way to answered might let the OP think it is a function. Without some explanation GET;CELL is unusable, and documentation scarce

try
=IF(Curr(A2)="$","USD","GBP")

for more currency, Use
=VLOOKUP(B2,{"$","USD";"£","GBP"},2)
