sum the repeating values and just transfer the unique values to another column

    Hello,
    I have a column with both repeating and unique values and another column with the values against them. I want to sum the repeating values and just transfer the unique values to another column. Example;

    A B C
    12 123 373
    12 124
    12 126
    1 335 335
    2 2154 2154
    5 124 124
    42 12 47
    42 35

How can I make it without vba but rather simple formula.

    Thanks

    Re: sumif

not sure i understand from your example
    Perhaps a sample spreadsheet

you could make a column of unique and single
But a countif() would find any unique values and with an IF can put the value in a new column
    =countif(A:A,A1)=1
    then add an IF
    =IF(countif(A:A,A1)=1 , B1, "")

    Then in a new column
    =IF(countif(A:A,A1)>1 , B1, "")

A guess, based on the confusingly formatted sample - not your fault... the EF platform mucks up formatting in-thread (next time, please post an Excel sheet!!)

    =IF(COUNTIF($A$2:A2,A2)=1,SUMIF(A:A,A2,B:B),"")

If this isn't correct, then post a sample sheet....
