Conditional Format Question Formula Vs entered value

Hello Experts,

I am wondering if there is a way to use conditional formatting to show me if a value in a cell is the result of a formula, or if its just entered.
Say I had the formula =2+2 it would show 4, I don't want anything to happen. But if I just typed a 4 in the cell I would like it to flag. Is this possible?

Your profile says that you have Excel 2013, so you can make use of the ISFORMULA function.

Pretty much depends on which version of Excel you are using. If it's 2013 or newer, you can use ISFORMULA. Older that that, you'd need a VBA equivalent.
