Find name with two codes with VLOOKUP/INDEX&MATCH + SUBSTITUTE

    Hi,

I've been trying to reference names in a cell thanks to two codes that are similar but not exactly the same, without any success.

    I tried to use

with INDEX & MATCH or VLOOKUP in Sheet 1, name column (B), but it only results in error messages.

Even if I try to extend the above formula in Sheet2 in the C column, it's only showing the result from cell A2.

If you have any idea on how to do it in one formula in sheet1, column B with the attached data, I would love some recommendations!

    Thanks in advance

    Thanks TMS.

However, I am trying to do

I don't know if I am clear but I am trying to refer directly to the name in Sheet 1!B cells.
Therefore looking for a subsitute value in Sheet2!A while refering to Sheet1!A and find Sheet2!C corresponding cell.
I am not sure if that's possible or not though.
