Question Formula returning 0 but should be returning a value entered from a previous sheet

    good afternoon from Mozambique.
this is my first post so please accept my apologies for posting this if there is a similar post.
I have looked for info regarding my issue on your site and have not managed to find much
I am a new user and I am trying to Build a stock-take spreadsheet for my small storeroom.
I am trying to update "Stock In" and "Stock Out" values automatically in 1 sheet when they are entered into another sheet.
I have 3 sheets in total.
The first sheet is a stock database
the second sheet is a daily stock-take sheet where I enter "Stock in" and "Stock out"
The third sheet is my Stock inventory sheet which should automatically update from the other 2 sheets.
I have managed to find a solution for the basic stock entries but I am looking for a solution with IF and SUMIFS formulas with Absolute values included.
When I enter in my formula I am returned a zero "0" instead of my manually entered stock counts from the Daily Stock-take sheet.
I have tried to attach my sheet for someone to view and see what my issue may be, however the attachments link is not working for me. .
Please help out if possible as I need to get started with this data as soon as possible.
    Thank you
    Stuart

    Welcome to the forum.

It is difficult to advise you without seeing your workbook. It might be that what appear to be numbers (e.g. stock ID, or quantities) are actually text values which look like numbers, but we can't say for certain without a look at your file.

The Attachments button has not worked for a long time on this forum, but you can attach a sample Excel workbook by following the instructions in the yellow banner at the top of the screen.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete
