Unhappy Sorting a list accordiong to total value and variance

    Dear all,

Is there a way to sort rows in an excel sheet from Z-A according to, first, the total value in F, which is a sum of the value in C:E and, then, the variance between the values in C, D, E?

For example, I would like a row with the total sum of 12 in F through 4 4 4 (variance = 0) in C:E to rank higher than a row with the total sum of 12 in F through 5, 3, 4 (variance = 3)

Any ideas on how to do this?

With a helper column? Is that OK? How can you derive a value of variance of 3 for 5,4,3???

That would be absolutely fine. I also meant 1, not 3 Thanks for noticing.
