Is it possible to format font of text within formula?

    Hello all,

I am afraid it won't be possible, but maybe it is.

Is it possible to format part of a string in a formula with a different color?

    HTML Code:
I would like the "Hello" to be displayed in black and the "(ByeBye)" in red. Is that somehow possible?
So it would end up looking like this, but all in one cell
    Hello (ByeBye)

It would also be okay to use conditional formatting, but I could not find an option there to only format part of a cells content.

    Thank you
    Alex

The short answer is indeed NO - a formula can only return a result, not formatting. Also, Conditional Formatting can only be applied to the whole cell, not parts of it. Even Custom Formats can only be used for the whole cell.

You would need VBA to do what you have indicated.

    Hope this helps.
