Help automating formula to sum trade profits within each workday.....See details below.

I would like to use sumif (or else) to calculate trade profits within each trading day of the week, month, year.

For example, how to sum the profits from 10 trades that I had made this past Monday (December of 2020) and so on?

I know that these results can eventually be plotted in a pivot table.

Thank you for your quick response, but the only thing I have is a spreadsheet w two columns:
Column1 - dates w the following format (mm/dd/yyyy ddd)
Column2 - profit or losses

The attached picture is what I would like to create (I found it in the internet)

As requested, please post a sample sheet.
You can't really expect our members helping for free on their spare time to recreate a sheet for testing purposes because you do not want to.
Also add some manually expected results
