    Sorting data into new tables

    Hi all.

I've got a table with 5 categories and would like to have the contestants sorted into 5 new tables.
I have manually put this into the two tables marked DM and HS, but would like to have this automatically created for both these and the other 3.
Any hints as to how to do that will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Is this for Google Sheets?

    Hi there,

Please refer to the attached file.

The formula used for cell G3 is:

I have added some formulas for the first 3 groups. You should be able to copy the formulas across for the rest.
Note: you can pull the formula down as far as you need, but can't just pull to the right as the reference is slightly different. Copy/past the formula for G3:H3 then past where and as often as required and update the reference to the group/class in row 2 before pulling down.

    Hope that works for you.

Edit: updated fromula slightly for easier copy/past.
